Made in the traditional Korean style, this cast iron pot maintains high temperatures consistently, evenly distributing heat throughout, making it suitable for frying, boiling, or simmering dishes for extended periods.
The lid is also made of cast iron, providing substantial weight. The weight of the lid presses down on the pot, increasing internal pressure for quicker and more intense cooking.
There's no need to season this cast iron pot as it comes pre-seasoned from the factory with a coating. However, over time and use, the coating may wear off, requiring seasoning.
Seasoning is straightforward. Simply heat the pot, apply cooking oil, and wipe it several times. After seasoning, boil a mixture of grains and water for thorough cleaning.
